Cancellations

Refund deadline is October 15

Conference registration cancellations are permitted, although cancellations received after October 12 will not qualify for a refund.

Room Rates:

Through October 1, 2016, discounted single and double room rates are $119 per night for Wednesday and Thursday night, which does not include 13.5% sales tax and 4% occupancy tax. A valid tax exempt certificate from your institution may exempt you from 9.5% of the sales tax. A few rooms are available on Tuesday night for the discounted rate. A $20 surcharge will be applied to each third and fourth adult occupying a room. A maximum of four guests are allowed per room.

Reservations:
To receive the discounted group rate, you must use Group Code of SLAC16 when making your reservation. To place a reservation, you may book online or call 866.580.7444. If your reservation includes Tuesday night and you are told no rooms are available, please email info@lacraoconference.org. Remember to book your room by October 1 to receive the discounted room rate.
Check-In/Check-Out:
At check-in, you must provide a valid driver’s license, state issued ID, or passport. The hotel’s check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Luggage storage is available for early arrival or late departure.
Cancellations/Early Departure Fee:
If you must cancel your reservation, you are required to do so 48 hours prior to arrival or you will be charged for the first night’s room and tax. In the event you check out of the hotel prior to the scheduled departure date, you may be charged an early departure fee of 50% or more of one night’s room and tax. To avoid the early departure fee, you should inform the hotel of your change in plans prior to arrival or during check-in. In the event of a personal emergency, the hotel will work with you on an individual basis.
Parking:
Self-parking is available in the main parking area and the parking garage. Valet parking is available and is complimentary.
Wi-Fi Access:
While hotel rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi service, the conference area is not.
Business Center:
A business center, which is located near the conference area, is available to hotel guests 24 hours a day.
Contraband Bayou Golf Group Rates:
Golf groups with a minimum of four players are offered a $99 green fee. To inquire about group rates or book your tee time, call 866.580.7444 and mention the Group Code of SLAC16 and the Group Name of Louisiana Association of Collegiate Registrar’s & Admissions Officers.

On Thursday evening, enjoy dinner and a competitive game of team trivia in the L'Auberge Ballroom. Come prepared to show off your trivia knowledge and take home bragging rights! 

Community Service Project

Help serve the local community by donating school supplies for families in need served by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury's Office of Juvenile Services. Drop off your donation at the registration table and receive an extra door prize ticket! (No institutional branded items, please.)

Frequently Asked Questions

The conference dress code is business casual. Temperatures in the conference rooms vary so if you are prone to getting cold, carry a light sweater or jacket with you. Plan to wear your school's colors and logos on Friday, the last day of the conference, to show your school spirit. 


Name bages are required to be worn at all times during conference sessions and events.

No, complimentary Wi-Fi access in the conference are is not provided; however, as a hotel guest, you have access to free Wi-Fi in your hotel room and 24-hour access to the Business Center located adjacent to the conference area.

You must cancel your registration via email to registration@lacraoconference.org by Wednesday, October 12, for a full refund. There are no refunds on cancellations received after October 12.

LACRAO uses PayPal as its payment processor. Since PayPal charges LACRAO a 3% credit card processing fee per transaction, this fee is added to each registration paid by credit card.

To make changes or corrections to your registration, just use your username and password to access your account and make the changes. To access your account, click on any of the register buttons.

If you are no longer able to attend, and another LACRAO member will be attending in your place, email registration@lacraoconference.org by October 28 with that person's name, title, and email adress.
